2019 Spring Registration Cost

$100 for ages 3-4 years old

$150 for ages 5 and up

Parents Responsibility/Checklist:

  • Glove
  • Helmet with a face mask and chinstrap
  • Bat 
  • Cleats
  • Face mask & Chest Guard for pitchers

Bat sizes for ages 5-18

  • 5-7 years 24"-26" 
  • 8-9 years 26"-28"
  • 10 years 28"-29"
  • 11-12 years 30"-31"
  • 13-14 years 31"-32"
  • 15-16 years 32"-33"
  • 17-18 years 32"-34"

Bats must be single wall aluminum or Alloy for 8 and under they must meet ASA requirements. Bats must have an ASA, USSSA stamp of approval located on them.

Ideal glove sizes

  • Under 8: Infield 9"-11"  - Outfield 10.5"-11.5"
  • 9-16 years: Infield 10"-11" - Outfield 11"-11.5"
  • High School or Older: Infield 11.5"-12.5" Outfield 12.5"-13"

Season Information

General Tentative Dates

  • Opening Day 3/16/2019
  • Season ends on 5/15/2019

Practice

  • Practice will start after 2/15/2019
  • Practice times and days are generally determined and set by coaches at the beginning of the season
  • Practice will typically be after 5 pm and may be on any day, 1-2 times per week

Games

  • Once registration is completed the park will build a master schedule. Parents will be notified of the game schedule a the beginning of the season
  • Games will typically be after 5 pm and may be on any day, 1-2 times per week

League Information

Ages of leagues are based on age or player as of 12/31/2018. You must play within your age group and an age verification process will take place. Parents who wish to have their child play outside of their designated age group must have permission from the Softball Director.  Please email Softball Director, Marina Pope at softball@saa-youth.org. your name, child's name, designated league and reason for requesting to change.  This is a request not a guarantee. NO commitment will be made to any player to play in a league outside the child's designated league until registration has closed. Please keep in mind that players are placed in leagues according to their birth date NOT their current grade in school.

Fundraisers

All sports will have a mandatory fundraiser for the season. This allows the sports to cover different cost without increasing the registration fees. All parents should receive fundraising information at the beginning of their season; usually at the parents meeting.

Concessions Policy

Everyone must work the concessions stand during the season or pay the opt-out fee of $50.00. This fee must be paid the last registration. If you have any questions please contact your director. 

Refund Policy

SAA has a no refund policy. If your player suffers a season ending injury before the start of the season please contact the Director to request an exception. If your exception is approved uniform costs may be deducted if ordered before injury.
